In my many years in the Philippines, I have never been to Boracay. Some people hate now due to all the commercialism and foreign assholes. Do you think Boracay is overrated?
in_sneakers wrote a great article about Boracay being overrated.
Again, overrated—not ugly. And it’s Boracay, not f*cking Bora, lazy oafs. You don’t call Makati Maka, Alabang Ala, or Pateros Pate. Over 20 years ago when I first went there—way before parté people started scattering their beer bottles, condoms, and vomit all over the place—no one called it Bora. People who have never seen white sand in their entire lives claim that Boracay—again, not f*cking Bora—is the most beautiful beach in the whole effin’ wide world. They obviously haven’t seen the place before cunning entrepreneurs thought beaches look more charming with golf courses. And parté people started scattering their beer bottles, condoms, and vomit all over the place.

Voters Registration period is one of the worst thing a person can get into. Here are some of the reasons why I , and a lot of people, hate it so much:

1. There’s too many people. Enough said. I think this is self-explanatory.
2. It’s too damn hot. Yeah, Global Warming is taking its toll. The place where you register has a broken airconditioner and the electric fan they’re using is panahon pa ni Kopong Kopong.
3. B.O. alert! Of course, when there’s too many people and it’s hot, the abundance of body odor goes with it. There’s that carpenter who hasnt showered, that tindera who was selling pork all day at the palengke, there’s that rich doña who has B.O. simply because she was born with it (haha!), and all kinds of people who have sweat and oil in their bodies. Yuck!

Both the country’s pride, Pacman and Apl.De.Ap will have a victory concert aptly titled “bokSING sa Manila: A Victory Concert” on Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. at the CPP Open Field. This new breed of heroes proves that that Filipinos are indeed world-class talents. Manny and Apl.De.Ap uplifted the dignity of their fellowmen with their commendable achievements in the fields of sports and music, respectively.

Filipino’s Champ Manny Pacquiao recently won in the “Grand Finale” against Mexican Erik Morales last Nov. 19 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This son of General Santos City defeated Morales on a third-round knock-out victory in the super featherweight title.

Webchatting has been around for years now. During the late 90’s, I became fond of chatting through mIRC. I was in my early teens back then. My older cousins introduced me to web chatting.
In the old days, everything was purely wholesome: getting to know people, talking with them but not ACTUALLY talking, etc, etc… But as time passed, I quickly outgrew this chat craze and I shifted interests to more exciting things.
However, it was a boring day a while ago and I decided to kill time by chatting on YM. It’s not like chatting with friends I know who are in my friends list. I joined this chatroom at Yahoochat. I’m not really fond of webchatting anymore. I’ve heard stories from some of my friends who were into this sort of thing and they told me it gets really messy. But I didnt listen to them.
I joined this chatroom with a smile and a hope of having a fun time chatting. I thought it was just like the old days. I thought everything would be wholesome. I wasnt prepared for the HELL HOLE that web chatting has become.
It all started okay. We were all greeting each other and telling our ASL’s and stuff. Then it happened.

Here’s an interesting article about Thanksgiving….
On Thanksgiving Day, we give thanks. We give thanks for being the invader, the exploiter, the dominator, the greedy, the gluttonous, the colonizer, the thief, indeed the genocidaire, rather than on the other side of imperialism’s zero-sum murderous game. As Mark Twain points out in his War Prayer, wishing and being thankful for one’s own success and victory is, at the very same time, wishing and being thankful for another’s defeat and destruction. Do we want to make these kinds of wishes and give these kinds of thanks?
The Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran declared that “it is the honor of the murdered that they are not the murderers”. Perhaps, but it is a very difficult honor to uphold. Native Americans, at least those who have survived the over 500 year genocidal project, are the poorest ethnic group in the richest country of the world. Each year, a group of Native Americans gather at Plymouth Rock on Thanksgiving Day to mourn and fast in honor of their people and in memory of what is lost. What do we want to be honored for? What honors are Americans thankful for?

The Odd Couple of Pinoy Podcasting (Kid Flash X & Manong Guard of The Basang Sisiw Show) just released their latest episode. Manong Guard also got his “hair did”. I looks like someone shot a load on his head.
Brandon Vera fights the former UFC Heavy Weight Champ, Frank Mir on 11/18. I think Frank Mir will be KFO’d in the 2nd round. In a recent interview, Brandon mentions the Philippines numerous times.
Short term goals is to keep my health, go to the Philippines. Start concentrating on my businesses, I have a couple different businesses that I’m doing. After this fight I’m going to go ahead and reinvest and start actually do things with what I’ve been supposed to be doing. Instead of floating along.
I guess that he will open some MMA schools in Manila. He’s already been there numerous times for some seminars.
