If you don’t know who Don Imus is, he’s a radio DJ/TV host that mixes comedy & politics. Long story short, he calls the Rutgers womens basketball team “Nappy headed hoes” as a joke.

So what. It was a joke. The comments were made in context. What made it so funny was hearing it come out of the mouth of some skeletal old white guy instead of Keith Robinson. If black people can say it, everyone can. There shouldn’t be any anything only certain races can say. No more separation. Where was Sharpton and Jackson when Tim Hardaway said he hated gays? It’s the failure to see fault in yourself is what bugs me. Why not go after rappers who say much worst things? These girls play basketball, it’s not like they were doctors or judges. I bet lawyers will talk the girls into suing for “hurt feelings”.

One of my favorite comedians, Patrice Oneal made some great points on Fox. It’s not on YouTube yet but I’ll post it when I find it. Here’s his take on the Michael Richards issue.

An example of a double standard
