While the mayor is there, the League of Filipino Students at San Francisco State asked that he hand her a resolution condemning the 700+ political killings over the past 5 years.

Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi has drafted a board resolution condemning the Philippine island nation’s human rights record. Critics assert there have been 765 political killings in the Philippines during the five-year rule of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
