I’m one of those Pinoys who have never considered leaving the country for a better life. I would rather stick it out in the Philippines much like a sexless marriage: for richer or poorer, for better or worse, till poverty eats into my body, soul, and shiny brown hair, and I just snap one day and throw myself in front of a speeding bus on Edsa. Not to judge anyone, but sometimes I find myself wondering why would people want to abandon our lovely pothole-strewn, polluted, and corrupt third-world country. I mean, why leave the Philippines?
Then I read this story on GMANews.TV:
Richard Gomez eyeing Senate seat

“On Tuesday, Sen. Jose ‘Jinggoy’ Estrada disclosed that actor-sportsman Richard Gomez is considering to seek a Senate slate under the opposition ticket.”
And I suddenly remembered one of the many reasons why people want to leave this hellhole.
What do you think GMA is saying?

Considering the Philippines is the 2nd most dangerous country for journalists only behind Iraq, when will the 1st Pinoy blogger be killed? With the recent launch of GMA’s blog network, blogging’s popularity will increase. I also expect ABS-CBN to also follow with their own blog network.
Are Pinoy “shock” bloggers such as BryanBoy at risk? What about the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism bloggers? I have received a few death threats.

Voters Registration period is one of the worst thing a person can get into. Here are some of the reasons why I , and a lot of people, hate it so much:

1. There’s too many people. Enough said. I think this is self-explanatory.
2. It’s too damn hot. Yeah, Global Warming is taking its toll. The place where you register has a broken airconditioner and the electric fan they’re using is panahon pa ni Kopong Kopong.
3. B.O. alert! Of course, when there’s too many people and it’s hot, the abundance of body odor goes with it. There’s that carpenter who hasnt showered, that tindera who was selling pork all day at the palengke, there’s that rich doña who has B.O. simply because she was born with it (haha!), and all kinds of people who have sweat and oil in their bodies. Yuck!
